Sunday Bible Discussion
In-person small group study in various books of the Bible and Scriptures relating to various topics that impact our lives. We meet at 9:30 AM. All are welcome! Our current study is “What the Bible Teaches about Heaven and our Eternal Life”
Women’s Ministry
The Ladies meet one Wednesday evening a month at 6 PM for a variety of activities; including Crafts, Games, Movies, and Food!
Men’s Ministry
The men meet for prayer on Tuesday afternoons at 4:30. They also attend the Men’s Fellowship night at America’s Keswick on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:15 PM
Bible Study
Each week, our own Pastor, Glenn Swank leads our congregation in a Bible Study one hour before the
start of our church service. Bible study starts at 9:30 and is welcome to all. In addition to this in-person group, Pastor also leads a bible study mid-week on Zoom at 11:00 on Thursday mornings. It is a casual,
group participation and discussion atmosphere, usually breaking down the meanings of scripture in
order, one by one, from the randomly selected chapters of the bible.
Nursery and Children’s Ministry
Barnegat Bay Assembly of God includes a very nice childcare room, usually led by Pastor Swank’s wife, Tammy. It is a welcoming, warm, and safe atmosphere, where kids from an early age through approx. 8 years old would be thrilled to stay entertained while their parents can relax and focus on partaking in Praise and Worship and Pastor’s message.
Praise & Worship
Barnegat Bay Assembly of God is blessed to have a mixture of contemporary and classic Christian music leading our Praise and Worship portion of our weekly Sunday service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Worship leader Tom Lombarski has led the church’s music ministry for over 20 years, while Alison Martin also leads, plays keyboard and percussion instruments, and adds great harmonies. Her husband Andrew Martin (who has also played for many years) adds the bass guitar and vocal accompaniment. Carol Morten contributes beautifully to her experience playing on our baby grand piano. While we lift up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Praise our God, both Margaret Johnson and Jackie Chastain add their talents by contributing so much to the sound system and song words, respectively, throughout this portion of the service.
Special Guests
The Barnegat Bay Assembly of God welcomes special guests and appearances from several Christian groups throughout the year. We have been blessed to have Christian-based addiction recovery organizations such as Teen Challenge of NJ and America’s Keswick (located in Whiting, NJ) represented, among other missionaries that our church supports on a monthly basis. Teen Challenge, where Rob, their addiction recovery coordinator, led a few songs, and several of the members shared their heartfelt testimony, noting how their addiction recovery program and Christ have changed their lives.
